Physical Fitness Program
STUDENT PHYSICAL FITNESS
retold by Pearl Mitchell
When a parent asked a principal if the school
had a good physical fitness program,
the principal cheerfully replied,
"Oh, our students don't need one.
They get all the exercise they need.
They spend their time jumping to conclusions,
flying off the handle, beating around the bush,
running down the teacher, going around in circles,
dragging their feet, dodging responsibility,
passing the buck, climbing the social ladder,
avoiding class work, cheating on tests, pulling strings,
throwing their weight around, stretching the truth,
bending the rules, stabbing peers in the back,
lying to parents, and pushing their luck!"
