Do grasshoppers eat cheese?

Does yogurt grow in grass
Do circuses hire fleas
When sheep jump fences
Do they holler “please“?

What kind of a hat
Do ferrets wear to run
When ants bump their heads
Why do they ask “how come”?

Do adjectives show action
And prepositions dance to tunes
When elephants pack their trunks
Do tourists give them room?

What if all horses hopped
And some kangaroos crawled
If the beginning was the middle
Would that be the baby that bawled?

If the turtle's shell were a cushion
and the tiger's stripes were floral
would tree roots grow upside down
and would stealing be moral?

When all's said and done
The world has a reason
That it twirls around
and follows a procedure.

It's been programmed by God.
