The Season Change

My heart is heavy, my thoughts many.
Outside the winds blows and the air cools.
It's cozy near the fireplace.
It warms the bones.
The trees are nude, except for the pine.
The snow birds searches food for the day.
The squirrels are in hiding, with his acorns and nuts.
The deer moves slowly through the thicket of the woods.
They seek refuse from winters wrath.
The grass is brown as the season changed her gown.
Father winter has put the earth to sleep with A blanket of snow.
Dark clouds linger over head and cool winds blow sharp across the planes.
For now the bear sleeps,in wait for Springs songs once more.
