GHOSTS, SKELETONS, and GOBLINS

By: Lavina Burgess
10/12/03

Children out in the dark night
Dressed as ghosts, skeletons and creepy monsters
Out to have fun and ready to run

Witches riding on their broom sticks
And bats flying low to the ground
Evil spirits lingering about
Pumpkins all lit up...
With creepy, scary cut out faces

The cemetery's gate wide open
The dead no longer resting
Ghosts lingering...
And children scared out of their minds

Spooky sounds all through the night
Shadows of evil spirits, running about
It sure is creepy this Halloween night

Shadows skimming through the streets
Candles, flickering from inside the homes
Black cats running across your paths
With their backs arched back
And ready to attack

The children are now tired
And are ready to go home
They had enough of the scary monsters
And want to wish everyone...
A "Happy Halloween!"
