I Sit Here I sit here in a lonely yard
Knowing you are really bored
I wonder what your doing now
As water drips from off my brow
I work so hard throughout the night
When I head home the sky is bright
I think of you and your friendly face
My journey home is like a race
I know you are asleep by now
Counting sheep and a cow
I wonder if you dream of me
As you lay silent in your deep sleep
I go to bed and dream of you
Knowing that you miss me too
My dreams of you are oh so sweet
My heart seems to skip a beat
When I wake to a brand new day
Everything good comes my way
I see you before I go to work
I hear you whisper some friendly words
My final night it goes so slow
I miss you more as each hour goes
When the night finally ends
Your beautiful face remains in my head
