A Good Friend When I came into the room
I didn't know what to do
I had just lost the love of my life
I couldn't go on with this painful life
You was there when I came in
I ended up telling you everything
I told you about my pain and hurt
And how I'd been treated like dirt
You knew exactly how I felt
You knew what I was going through
Although we were many miles apart
You listened while I opened my heart
I told you how I truly felt
And how I wanted to hurt myself
You told me it was all ok
And how I'd see a better day
Now I have a friend for life
With you I know I'll be all right
I never want our friendship to end
For you a poem I lovingly send
One day I'll come to Idaho
I'm sure you already know
You know how much I love you so
Even when its time for me to go
