             Driving To You

I drive home in the dead of the night
My heart and mind are feeling all right
I think of you waiting for me
As I make this short journey

I watch the road that I light up
With my headlights shining bright
I carefully navigate the bends
With your face stuck in my head

The trees they pass on the left and right
The moon lights up this dark night
While the moon is shining bright
I'm driving home in the dead of the night

Soon my journey is going to end
With thoughts of you in my head
Soon I'll be able to hold you close
Knowing its you that I love the most

I park outside our tiny home
With you inside all alone
I step inside and shut the door
Then carefully creep across the floor

As I sit in our front room
I hear a creaking in our bedroom
You come down stairs and sit with me
Until we both fall asleep
