Poetic Past I read through the poems I wrote
They all bring tears to my eyes
The words seem so powerful
The words seem so right
How did I get this poetic talent?
Is it a gift I never knew I had?
Yet as I read through my poems
Its as if I'm reading about my life
My poems remind me of the good times
The also remind me of the bad
My poems make me feel sad
My poems make me feel glad
Some of them are dedications
To my loved ones and friends
They tell how I was feeling
On a particular day
My poems tell me of love lost and found
They give me a reason to stick around
The day I stop writing my poems
Will be the day my true love is found
