Summer Proposal The sky looks beautiful and blue
As I sit here chatting to you
The sun warms up the morning sky
As in this field we do lie
We talk about the happy times
The things we dream about
But my dear you're the one
I could never live without
We lay here holding each other's hand
And talk of our hopes and dreams
We look into each other's eyes
Knowing our love is meant to be
We laugh and giggle at little jokes
That happens to slip out
But we know the way we feel
Will never be a joke
On this magical day
I know this is the time
I take a ring from my coat
I turn to you and say
My darling will you marry me?
On this perfect day
Your beauty is overwhelming to me
I never want you to go away
You are overwhelmed with joy
You don't know what to say
Then after a silent pause
These words you say
My dear I also love you too
You make my world complete
So my dear I have to say
That I will accept
I push the ring onto your finger
It's a perfect fit
I look up and smile at you
And finish my short speech
My darling I will love you
For better and for worse
I will honour and love you
The way that you deserve
I hug you and I kiss you
I hold you ever so close
We are here together
That's what matters the most
Then we sit against a tree
We watch the world go by
I confess that the proposal
Made me nervous and shy
Now we'll be together
Until the end of time
I'll love you forever
I swear I'd never lie
As this perfect day of ours
Draws to a close
We must go and celebrate
Now that I've proposed
I will make you happy
Like I've done for years
We slowly walk and leave this place
Like we've done every year
Now we are together
We now feel so close
We must plan our wedding
Now I have proposed
