A Year Today A year today was when she left
A year today she broke my heart
I have come such a long way
Now that it's a year today
A year ago I was alone and sad
But something happened that made me feel glad
Someone spoke in a crowded room
They spoke to me and then I knew
I knew that I was not alone
My pain was shared in this room
The people there knew how I felt
They shared the pain that I had felt
My life has changed in such a way
That it is no longer grey
The past year I've taken giant steps
To push my sorrow from my head
I am so much happier now
Happy with what I have now
I've found a friend that cares for me
A friend who's always been there for me
I now know what I want from life
I'm finally getting on with life
Even though it's a year today
My life is going the right way
