Colours Catching My Eye

I see a sea of colours
Racing through the sky
All these bright colours
Seem to catch my eye

Reds and yellows come and go
With the smallest hint of mauve
Orange and purple are there too
Mixing with the sky so blue

I go into the garden
And look into the trees
There I see a robin
Looking back at me

I stand there and I smile
At the robin in the tree
The rest on its chest is bright
Like the reds I've just seen

The red it reminds me of
A beautiful sunset sky
The way the sky appears to be red
Really catches my eye

I think about those colours
That first caught my eye
The way they seemed to come and go
Mixing with the sky so blue
