     Lonely Space

People smile as I walk by
They grin so much their cheeks rise high
They can't see how hard I try
To smile back when inside I cry

They cannot see my open wounds
That was caused by someone I loved
They cannot see my broken heart
They didn't see it torn apart

Now I spend my lonely nights
Watching the world go by
I stand here and I think about
What this world means to me

The world is a beautiful place
Its home to the human race
We explored the land of the Earth
Now we've headed into outer space

The stars are much brighter there
The stars are everywhere
The Earth it looks so cool
From such a high altitude

Maybe that's where I belong
Far away from everything
Nothing can make me sad up there
Nothing can break my heart up there
