      Travelling Alone

It's nearly time to go home
I'll be travelling alone
On my journey home
I'll listen to the radio

As the sky gets dark
The streetlights will light
Cars will pass me by
On this peaceful night

This road is much like my life
Where something happens all the time
Things move so fast
As I drive home tonight

I'm heading to an empty house
That's been silent all this time
A pile of letters will wait for me
When I finally open the door

The roads are quite
This time of night
But now and again a car just might
Go shooting past from out of the night

But as I finally arrive home
I can relax my aching bones
As I walk through the door
I'm already feeling bored
