      Watching A Star

I lay here and I watch a star
From my bedroom window
Its twinkle hypnotises me
Like some form of code

Soon it will disappear
As the sun starts to rise
So I say goodbye to it
As its light slowly fades

The twinkle helps me fall asleep
As I watch it from my room
The twinkling star will return
With the brightness of the moon

What are you trying to tell me star?
Are you trying to contact me?
Are you telling me something?
That only I can see

The star gives me hope at night
The hope that my life just might
Turn out right for me
However hard it is to see

So sweet star farewell to you
I hope to see you twinkle soon
Every time I watch you from my room
I know something good will happen soon
