           You Once Said

You once said you loved me
That our love was true
I loved you just as much
I really did love you

We had both been lonely
Unhappy with our lives
When we had each other
Our loneliness died

When you decided to leave me
My loneliness returned
You killed off my happiness
You don't know how much that hurt

I wrote you a letter
Asking for us to be friends
You sent that letter back to me
Which showed me you was gone

I sent you a message
Through to your phone
You said you hated me
And wished I was dead

You said I was ugly
You said that I smelt
You said I was stingy with cash
And I'd never find another girl

When you said those horrible things
You don't know what I felt inside
I was ready to grant your wish
And end my pointless life

That was so long ago
But still you'll never know
I still think about you
Wherever I seem to go
