A New Lonely Day The sun began to rise
To start a brand new day
I closed my eyes
And dreamed away
In my dream I could see
Someone that meant a lot to me
She had to leave suddenly
She decided to leave me
In this dream I see her
Looking straight at me
Is she really here?
Has she come back to me?
But then she turns and walks away
I'm dreaming of that very day
The she left me all alone
The day she left me on my own
I try calling out to her
But the words don't come out
No matter how much I scream and shout
Not a sound comes out
She has disappeared now
I suddenly awake
I think of the dream I just had
Which makes me very sad
I sit up and start to cry
Asking myself why oh why
Why did she walk away?
In my dream and reality
Why can't things be how they were?
Back before I got hurt
Back to where we shared our love
When we would talk, kiss and hug
Yet as I watch a new day start
I know she's still in my heart
Even though she went away
Leaving me with a life so grey
