     Chasing My Dreams

The stars are like my dreams
Distant and far away
The ones that shine the brightest
Represent all of my pain

The brighter that the star is
The more pain I feel
The ones you can barely see
Are dreams that aren't meant to be

The moon that slowly rises
Represents me
Far away and lonely
Yet there for all to see

So when I see all the stars
I only think of me
I think of my life
And dreams that will never be

When the stars are hiding
That's when I go to sleep
But once the stars can be seen
You'll see lonely little me

What will happen when the stars?
Can no longer be seen
Well that is simple
That means I've had to leave

I'll head for those stars
When they bury me
I'll try and catch all those dreams
That were never meant to be

Then every time you see the moon
You'll also see me
The brightest star of them all
Will be lonely little me

If you look into the sky
And see a shooting star
You will know that its me
Chasing my dreams

But should my star ever fade
Please say a prayer for me
For once my star has lost its light
I'll be lonely for eternity
