For Tia Maria You were my special girl
You understood my words so well
You were there when I needed a hug
You had all of my love
You was my companion
My four-legged friend
You went with me everywhere
You slept at the end of my bed
You was small and gentle
You would never hurt a fly
You always made me laugh
When you ran around with your food bowl
I'm going to miss you
You were my little star
You was my baby girl
And the best by far
Now you're in a far off place
Watching over me
When I think of you I find it hard
To keep a smile on my face
To some you were just a pet
To me you was something more
You were my angel
Sent to protect me
Now you have left me
I hurt again
Another part of my heart
Is broken once again
I still have your pictures
To remind me of you
I still have the memories
Of the things we used to do
I'll miss you coming to work with me
And going out for a walk
I know I'll especially miss
Your strange doggy talk
And now as you're laid to rest
Once again I'll cry
I'll cry because I loved you

This poem is dedicated to my little dog Tia. She died early this year and i felt like i'd lost a friend instead of a pet. RIP Tia, i miss you so much and can't wait until we are re-united in heaven.
