Standing Alone

Standing alone
In a quite room
Standing alone
In this dark room

Nothing but silence
Is all around
Nothing is heard
Not a sound

In this room
That's cold and dark
There is a presence
That can't be seen or heard

This strange presence
Is all around
In the ceiling and walls
And in the ground

What is this?
Presence I feel
It can't be seen
But seems so real

Is it a loved one?
Watching me
Is it death himself?
Who's come for me

I start to tremble
I start to sweat
This eerie feeling
Is effecting me

I feel a hand
On my shoulder
I'm scared to look
And turn around

As I turn I see her there
This girl who is my friend
She's always there for me
She does her best to help me

I turn on the light
I see her face
I give her a hug
I say how I feel

I thought it was death
Coming for me
I thought this might be
The end for me

But it's a girl
I trust and love
She's by my side
To share her love
