While I was thinking of you
I watched the sun set

The moon then rose
I started to cry
I watched the moon
With tears in my eyes
I saw the stars

The moon started setting
As the sun came up
I was trying to think
Of the fun we'd had
Through the phase of the sun
The stars and the moon
I was quietly sitting here
Missing you
As the sun rose
For the second day
There were so many things
I wanted to say
But on the day
I was back with you
I couldn't say
What I wanted to tell you
I had so many words
Stuck in my head
Buzzing around
And filling my head
I should've taken the time
To say what I needed to say
I know I will tell you
On a better day
