Dear Emma You read my painful words
You said how good they were
You knew in an instant
All the pain I felt
My pain lept out at you
As if asking to be healed
The words cried out to you
Asking you to be my friend
All the words as you read on
Revealed more about my hurt
They gradually revealed to you
How deeply I'd been hurt
Now we chat to one another
Giving the other a little more hope
Together we will get through
All these lonely days
