Chicken Pock Blues

My youngest daughter
came down with
something.

At first I
didn't think it
was nothing.

Scratching
and jumping
all over the place.

Had little
red dots all over
her face.

I didn't know
what they
were at first.

I looked at
her back and
it was worse.

She stayed home from
school for a
week and a half.

The last thing
I wanted to do
was laugh.

Stop scratching
and squirming
ya little goose.

There ain't no
cure for the
chicken pock blues.
