A Young Girl Prayed

Young Girl Prayed
Written 4/ 23/1985

There was a young girl, she heard a soft voice.
Hard to ignore,a voice she'd never heard.
A voice so tender saying," come unto me".
One day in her room, she knelt to pray.
For the first time, to her maker she spoke.
She ask for forgiveness, thus he surly gave.
Kind and tender, the Lord was that day.
Erased her sins, gave a new birth.
Now she looks through faith filled eyes.
To him ,she tells her troubles, he's sure to never tell.
He taught her how to listen, not to talk to much.
He shares with her, his love ,his word she will never doubt.
When trouble comes,he says ,only temporary.
Time to build good character.
If she fails, he forgives, teaches with gentle correction.
God said don't live by feelings, live having good morals.
This will bring forth a good life, this I know is true.
I am the young girl,I heard the voice of God.
