Needing A  Friend

Needing A Friend
written 6/13/ 1995

Lord, sit with me this morning.
Listen as I talk to you.
They say a friend is faithful, kind and true.
Someone you tell your troubles to.
Well,Lord I have no friend like you.
I enjoyed sleep last night, as angels watched my bed.
I woke with reason to believe, you have a purpose for me.
I see this morning ,you kissed the earth with dew.
Lord I miss my children, seems there always gone.
I ask you as I call their names, watch them with thy heavenly eyes.
Guard them with thy loving arms.
Whisper in their ear, don't forget to call your mom.
When their alone, kiss their brow and let it feel like mine.
When they wake to mornings light, let them start the day out right.
Let them praise you for your love.
Let them praise you for their day in hand.
