Walking down a long,
dark road with
nobody in sight,
I stay away from
the side of the road.

Bushes and trees
surround me,
I walk down
the middle of the road.

I get frightened
when I hear noises
coming from behind,
maybe it's the wind
blowing through the trees.

I stop dead in my tracks
and turn around,
there's nothing there,
maybe it was
just my imagination
running wild.

I don't like to be
in the dark all alone,
I've been like this
since I was small.
