Sleeping In My Lap As you lay your head to sleep
I know you are thinking of me
As you slip into a dream
I know you'll be dreaming of me
So rest your head in my lap
You really need to take a nap
I'll run my fingers through your hair
When you start dreaming I'll be there
While you take your nap
I close my eyes and relax
I meet you in your dream
Together we sleep and dream
We dream of living together
Of our big wedding day
We dream of our first child
I'm loving this dream
I suddenly awaken
You are stirring in my lap
I rest my hand on your cheek
For a second you awake
You look up at me
I gaze into your eyes
Its ok babe I softly say
I'm here with you
You smile back at me
Your eyes slowly close
You bury your head in my lap
As I rest my hand on your chest
I softly say I love you
I'll always be here
In a sleepy voice you say
I love you too
As my angel is sleeping
Again I close my eyes
Together we are sleeping
Just like God had planned
