Devil Elf

Her piercing red eyes
peer hrough the darkness,
she looks for a place
to escape her thirst
for a kill.

Dark horns protrude
from her forehead,
she is a creature
of the night.

She preys upon the
souls of mankind
to make her stronger,
she is as sly
as a fox.

She sneaks up on people,
rips their hearts out
and steals their soul.

She can't hide
what she is,
she can't run away
from her need
for a fresh soul.
