Violent Cat

It was time to come in
from outside after being
called in for supper,
waiting outside the door,
there was a black cat
sitting on the doorstep.

I've told you in the past
not to touch cats and dogs
you don't know,
but the cat didn't give
you a chance to pet it.

Without any warning,
it jumped up on your arm,
it scratched and bit you.

You tried to shake it loose,
but it bit you even harder,
it wasn't going to let go.

You doubled up your fist
and punched it in the stomach,
I think the cat is going to
think twice,
before it comes near you again.

If you ever see that
violent cat around again,
just kick it in the face.

My little girl got bit by this dang cat. For a week, I had to make sure the scrathes and cuts were cleaned out. She said, "As of now, I hate cats and dogs."
