While You Are Flying Home

Nothing fills this place now
It's as silent as can be
I can't hear you laughing
Or when you speak to me

Leaving you at the airport
Was the hardest thing I've done
I kept looking behind me
As you disappeared in the crowd

I was trying not to cry
As I made my way home
Wishing you were still here
Wishing I could've gone with you

I sit here in my empty flat
Wishing you were here
Knowing as you fly from me
You are hurting too

I'll spend the day on my own
Not knowing what to do
Trying to fight back these tears
That I now cry for you

I just want you here
I want to be with you
I need you forever
To stop me feeling blue

I'll just sit here on my own
Waiting for you to arrive home
I'll try hard not to cry
Although my heart feels like it's died

I know we'll see each other
When I come to visit you
One day we'll be together forever
And never have to part again

We'll plan my trip there
We'll plan our wedding too
Then we'll plan my move there
Where we'll always be together

I can feel you crying
As you fly through the sky
I felt your heart breaking
As we said goodbye

The ring on your finger
Shows I'm with you
My love is inside that ring
As well as inside you

So my wife please don't cry
Feel me dry your tears
Feel me sending all my love
As I sit here and think of you
