HIS PROPOSALBy: Lavina Burgess ~~~vina~~~ 3/21/2004 As I look around the crowded room To find the man I'll marry soon Way in a corner, with soft candles glowing There he was, drinking ruby red wine He turned his head and broad shoulders to me Then stood up, and handed me a rose My heart skipped a beat That rushed blood to my feet When he kissed my cheek, I felt tingles inside And then he kissed my ear, then whispered my name He took my hand, then got on one knee And asked me to be his wife Everyone's eyes were on us They all had heard his plea And were waiting for my reply As I said yes, there was loud cheers And tears ran down my eyes The very thought, was on my mind And I knew right then, he would take my hand It's now been twenty-three years And he still gives me tingles... To the top of my head, to the tip of my toes So love your man, and don't let him stray And love your woman, like you did the first day When you took your vows...( After one or two tries) Try to remember... Until death to you part! Send Feedback/Comments |
