Caressed by the tip of a wing,
He came in the night with a message,
A message that made our hearts sing.
We listened and watched as he told us,
Not to worry, she would be all right,
We held on to the hope she'd recover,
And prayed that the angel was right.
I thought that the angel was lying,
For he came and took her away,
And she asked us to please let her go now,
She felt she could no longer stay.
The angel has taken her home now,
And she'll watch us from somewhere on high,
My friend, she was touched by an angel,
And now I understand why.
