I can't seem to sleep
I've spent hours tossing and turning

While I lay here trying to sleep
It's still early where you are
I lay here thinking about you
Wishing I was with you now
Wishing I could hold you
While I drift off to sleep
The more I think about you
The more I'm missing you
I know you'll be home soon
I just want to snuggle with you
I'm having trouble sleeping
As my night becomes day
I can hear you softly saying
Go to sleep honey, its all ok
I smile as I hear your voice
It's like you're here with me
I drift off to dream my dreams
Feeling you laying next to me
But when it comes to sleeping again
Again I'll toss and turn
Wishing you were with me
To make it easier to sleep
I'll get up and walk around
Wishing you were with me now
Sighing because you aren't here
And I have to wait a few more weeks
I climb back into bed
Wondering if you're thinking about me
Wondering if just like me
You can't seem to sleep
I lay here calling out to you
In the hope you might hear me
Asking if you'll come hold me
Because I simply cannot sleep
I know that once you come home
We'll have no trouble sleeping at all
We'll fall asleep in each others arms
Dreaming our sweet dreams
Our nights won't be lonely
We'll be by each others side
Holding each other closely
All the way through the night
