Love Is A Many Spendoured Thing

Love is a many splendoured thing,
Of that I have no doubt,
They even wrote a song about it,
Love's always been about.

It makes you glad to be alive,
It makes the sun shine through,
The blackest, deepest, darkest cloud,
Will never spoil your view.

Love makes you slightly crazy,
Takes you to another plane,
You live your life in limbo,
Until he comes back again.

You hang on to his every word,
You wait for him to call,
You look at him and wonder,
What it was that made you fall.

You cannot eat or sleep, it seems,
He fills each waking thought,
You cannot walk away from him,
For in his web you're caught.

And when you look into his eyes,
Your two souls merge to one,
The dark clouds disappear from view,
And you're reaching for the sun.

You know he takes you higher,
Than you've ever been before,
You hold on tightly to his hand,
For you couldn't ask for more.

There's a reason in your meeting,
And perhaps you'll never know,
For when he doesn't love you back,
You have to let him go.
