I Wondered - A Sonnet I wondered if you thought of me today,
In kindness or in bitter-sweet refrain,
Regretting that I'd ever passed your way,
And shedding tears like gently falling rain,
I wondered if perchance I made you smile,
In memory of long lost happy times,
Those summer days that lasted just a while,
We laughed about the words that didn't rhyme,
We pledged our love beneath a star lit sky,
That seemed to resonate in harmony,
The moon obscured by clouds just passing by,
Then shining once again on you and me.
I wondered if you thought of me today,
Or did you just go quietly on your way
