Stranger To Her Eyes No more to sit and wonder why,
I shed no tears, I cannot cry,
The realisation dawned so clear,
Now losing something I held dear.
When did it start, the slow decline,
The time and place, I can't define,
The signs were there, I didn't see,
I saw a child stare back at me.
A tortured child in a mother's eyes,
For hatred there is no disguise,
She plays a game of hide and seek,
From day to day, and week to week.
But now and then a glimpse of she,
Who loved me once and cared for me,
I more and more antagonise,
And I am stranger to her eyes.
