Out Of Time Are you looking at the sea?
And sending forth a thought to me,
Again you stand against the tide,
And find a place where love may hide.
Three hundred miles or more, away,
I wonder now, how was your day,
Are you happy, free of pain?
Clear blue skies or cloud and rain?
Huddled now against the cold,
Growing up and growing old,
Time so slowly passing by,
Do you laugh or do you cry?
Are you thinking what may be?
If only life would set us free,
To grasp our last remaining star,
I wonder now just where you are.
Are you so blind, you cannot see?
Your silence somehow deafens me,
It permeates my very soul,
And did you know you made me whole?
I stood alone and stood apart,
And let you take my empty heart,
You filled me up and let me grow,
I wonder, did you ever know?
At times I wish we'd never met,
For such a love you can't forget,
You took me to the higher ground,
And left me knowing love I'd found.
And still alone I live, I breathe,
My empty heart to you I leave,
I see you there, down on the beach,
So out of time and out of reach.
