Another Day

And what to say,
And what to do,
When words are plenty,
Actions few,
And bitter acrimony rules,
Communicate,
With angry fools,

Retreating swiftly,
Treading more,
Eggshells broken,
To the core,
Place of safety, home again,
Bruised and battered,
Searing pain.

Nerves of steel,
Exposed and raw,
An icy glare, I feel,
I saw,
I turn around, and walk away,
And live to fight,
Another day.
