Kiss You Goodbye

I hope that you're happy,
Contented and free,
I hope that you're somewhere,
Just thinking of me.

Tonight there are fireworks,
That light up the skies,
A myriad of colour,
Once seen in your eyes.

Once seen like the love,
That shone from within,
The touch of your hand,
And the taste of your skin.

The way that you smiled,
And the sound of your laughter,
Remembering now,
That spent morning-after.

The sweet taste of pleasure,
Still lingers the same,
And love undiminished,
Is the name of the game.

The years find me waiting,
And each passing day,
The feelings grow stronger,
They don't fade away.

Tonight there are fireworks,
And a dark smoky sky,
How can I forget you?
And kiss you goodbye.
