Thanksgiving Day

Big Tom Turkey...fully stuffed and dressed
Everyone setting around...
Get ready to roll up their cuffs
Here comes the gravy, and all the good stuff

Cranberry sauce, already sliced and chilled
Sweet potatoes, or yams
Jim and Shawna's... bringing ice-cream
With a cake...called Hawaiian dream

Fresh green beans, and red tomato's
Grown from Joe & Carrie's garden
John and Janet is on their way
She's made some cream puffs...oh-my-oh-my

Tom and Ellie brought homemade stuffing
Also cinnamon rolls and corn bread muffins
Pat and Jo Ann's coming up the path
"We've got more trimmings, right here in the bags!"

Oh... good grief, Ronnie is here
Bringing a jug or a keg of beer
Joan's bringing shrimp salad
Her favorite dish of the year

Who says...turkey is all we need?
Arnold has lobster, and so many to feed
Kathy's bringing a glazed ham
Ohh...blazes, I hope it's not...Blake's pet pig

Carol and Manny just called
Chinese food...and all the trimmings
Michelle's bringing a veggie plate
Because...she don't eat meat at all

Let's bow our heads, and give thanks...
Thank you God...for the food we are about to eat
God...bless our friends and family
God...bless our soldiers, and everyone
This "Thanksgiving Day", Amen
