The Christmas Stockings

The Christmas stockings, all hung with pride
I filled them with nuts, and ribbon candy inside
There's a box of life savers, for each of the boys
And sweet baby dolls, for all the little girls

I stuffed them... with their favorite fruits
Freshly picked from Ned's orchards
No pipes for grandpa, because his doctor says...not
A new locket for grandma, with a picture of Ned

Mom's stocking, something shiny and bright
I know... she made ginger snap cookies for tonight
I see a pet stocking, with the name of Clyde
I'll give him a bone, made of raw hide

I put my bag down, to have cookies and milk
Then rubbed my big tummy, and up the chimney I went
The reindeer already, I gave a yank on the reins
I hope we get snow and not any rain

It soon will be morning, the sun will be up
We better be going, we got to deliver a pup
The snow now falling, and off we go
“Merry Christmas to you, and a Jolly Ho-Ho!
