Thoughts Of My Family I love watching the sun come up
As my thoughts fill with you
A single star shines brightly
A star that shines for you
Clouds are scattered here and there
As they drift across the sky
As the sun slowly rises
The horizon turns a shade of red
A new day is starting
A new day without you
As the sky gets a little brighter
My mind is filled with you
I wish I could see your face
As I watch a new day starting
I wish I could hold you now
As the blue sky gets brighter
I picture us holding hands
As we walk through the snow
Heading to our little home
With all our kids in tow
As we reach the front door
The kids run inside
We hug one another
As we both feel so proud
We go into our cosy home
The kids get ready for bed
We tuck them in and say goodnight
Then we snuggle on the sofa
We sip on a cup of tea
Then soak in the tub
At the end of a perfect day
We head to bed ourselves
I smile at the images
That I have in my head
I look at your picture
As I say I love you
I carry your face in my head
Still thinking of you and our kids
I go to bed and fall asleep
Dreaming of joining you in Alaska
I dream of my new family
Of our children, both present and future
Calling you into my dream
So we can be together
