A Dream I Had

I remember a dream I had
just a few nights ago,
desperately seeking answers
about what Native Indian blood flows.

I asked my dad about what blood
courses through my veins,
he replied, "Mik' Maq,"
he didn't refrain.

I don't know
if I should believe,
dreams do tend
to sadly deceive.
