Gray wolf
leaves his pack,
roams across the land
there's no looking back.

He's a loner now
out on his own,
but his pack
is the only family he's known.

He ventures through the woods
howls at the moon,
left his family
a little too soon.

He stops to sip
water from a lake,
through the chilly night
his soul it might take.

He finds a cave
to sleep in for the night,
the full moon
his only source of light.

Gray wolf has left
his family pack,
roams across the land
there's no turning back.
