No Rest

wild is my true loves spirit,
she flies south every year,
~
and to her merit,
she comes back I never fear
~
I always have alot of seed,
put away for her and friends,
~
almost always they have a need,
its always the same trends.
~
she has a new feathers too,
she fusses and makes herself pretty,
~
showing her best feathers all of dark blue,
she has such a loving personality.
~
her plumage so attractive,
she sings her song so sweet,
~
her song of mating so effective,
she tip toes on her feet
~
she shall sing her song,
she'l show her brite feathers,
~
and court all week long,
then she'll make a family.
~
she will build and protect a nest
hatch and feed the young,
~
keeping them safe from all the rest
while there chirps unsung
~
as the winds start to blow,
the skies get grey,
~
temperatures going low,
the sun is shorter everyday
~
trees starting to bend to and fro,
it's the only way
~
she must go,
Yes it's natures way
~
and again we part
she knows its time to go,
~
aching is my heart,
I'l be waiting for her, she will know
