St Paddy's Day

~
She handed me a green beer
She never took her eyes off me
She asked are you new here?”
~
Smiling, “ I answered yes first time tonight”
She took my hand and said “let me introduce you”
I smiled in delight
~
I pulled on my long Irish red hair
Was I just lucky or what? I bit my lip
A whole booth of girls with the Irish dare
~
St. Paddy's day, O'Callaghan's bar
I felt so excited to meet so many
Fine lasses from so far

~
We smiled and hugged
Several kisses later
1 glass of beer, I felt so drugged
~
Invited to a party at O'Sullivan's place
So many smiling freckled girls,
Kissing hugging at a hectic pace
~
And I thought, I was all alone
