Spring

Cabin fever has finally came to an end
Windows and doors open on the first sunny day
Neighbors gather, my it's good to see old friends
Not much damage from the winter we are hopin'
*
Now that spring is here
With April showers come the new blooms
Love is in the air, couples saying I love you dear
The Floods have succeeded
*
Birds singing tweet tweet
Flowers a bloomin'
Ground a sopin', yup we all got wet feet
Singing and praising the New Year
*
Holding hands, kissing too
The feeling of energy of our youth
Held down by the winter blues
The winter is over and that is the truth
*
The freshness of spring
Closeness and warmth of love
Mother Nature does her thing
The cycle starts again as it is written by God above
