Our First Real Date

Up til' now we had met at the burger place
We had shared sodas and kissed face
We called each other soul mate

I was always in a state of confusion
And felt the irritation
She was always late

Ever since I met her
My life became so unsure
I was always expected to wait

I told her 7, so she would be ready
Feeling particularly sneaky
We didn't have to go till 8

I had several errands to run
In anticipation of the nights fun
I was beside myself and couldn't wait

I showered and dressed
In my mind I felt blessed
Arrived early for our First real date

Her brothers gave us orders for the night
While, snapping pictures left and right
They said,”ok, you can go, don't stay out too late”
