Couldn't Abide
Into my self I began to burrow
Feeling so empty inside
My aching sorrow
In order for us to survive
We were forced to work long hours
Often we came home less than alive
You wanted more, than I could provide
Oh! How I really tried
Your going astray, I couldn't abide
Feeling oh! So blue,
Darkness and rain, no comfort there
My heart just doesn't know what to do
