Day At The Park,A

It was a hot humid day
The kids wanted to go to the park
But it was laundry day
~
They wanted to get wet
They wanted to go swimming
On that you can bet
~
Sue said “yes, we would meet in the park”
Just the mere mention of her name
I felt spark, after spark
~
Our first clandestine meeting
While the kids are playing
Gawd my heart was BEATING
~
Bacon lettuce and tomato
Sandwiches, potato chips, a
Two liter bottle of cola too
~
Hurry kids it's time to run
You can play on the seesaw
Or the Jungle gym, let's go have fun
