Visitation

I was all alone this dreary evening
When a vision of a loveliness and grace
Left me gasping
As I stared into her face
*
She smiled at me and said
I thought I would stop by for a bite
Her eyes started glowing red
I saw her fangs she sent me into a fright
*
The room turned extremely dark
All she wanted was to bite me
Said “take a journey with me as a lark”
Just 1 little bite and you'll see
*
Again she showed her fangs
They were long and very white
She brushed back my bangs
I heard her whisper night night
*
I opened my eyes at the twilight
No one was in my room
Smiling, what a dream of fright
As I breathed in her perfume
*
Last thing I remember her breath upon my flesh
I inhaled her scent, lapsed into unconsciousness
I woke up light headed and anything but fresh
On my neck, I felt a swelling tenderness
*
